Perhaps fortunately, I was so busy on the last few days of the tour that there was little time for reflection. There will be plenty of time for more considered thoughts in due course. In the meantime, my heartfelt thanks to all those involved.

As we sat in the very small Green Room backstage at the Bunkamura hall drinking a toast to "King Crimson" following the final show, my initial thought was that this band has made the notion that King Crimson simply drifted from view in 2008 almost unthinkable. The seven/eight/seven piece incarnation has reviewed, reinvented, re-energized and united the catalogue in so many ways, while setting astonishing standards for what is possible in live performance. The curse of the camera, partly responsible for the swift end in 2008, has mostly disappeared.

Speaking of which, I have no pictures of the final show. I was otherwise engaged. These were of the penultimate night.
